Marketing and Innovation Assistant

  • Hours: Monday to Friday variable 37.5 hours (with a 2pm finish on Friday's)

Overview

Reporting to the Marketing & Innovation Manager, the purpose of this role is to deliver on supporting strategic development accounts and executing the promotion of the company’s brand and services in order to create demand and maximise growth in line with the business strategy. The role is varied; with some external requirements and requires a flexible, enthusiastic approach and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Creative and passionate about marketing and products, the role enables development of a variety of skills from new product creation through to sales and marketing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Objective of this role is to manage, organise and deliver all administrative tasks on agreed marketing and communication plans and pipeline product innovation. 

• Contribute to the creation and implementation of a marketing and communication plan, supporting line manager on agreed activity where required.

• Drafting marketing materials such as newsletters, posts and articles for the company’s website and social media pages

• Delivering content for the company’s website and social media pages through scheduling and managing updates

• Provide branding support to internal colleagues

• Maintain the company’s branding hub and brand assets

• Managing image and content databases, including permissions (internal with HR and external with Sales) 

• Support line manager on group marketing initiatives 

• Market research and data gathering using Mintel, WGSN and other online platforms

• Working with the Sales team to evaluate customer product gap analysis and identify potential opportunities

• Support in creating business presentations 

• Co-ordinating with the R&D department for trend material to contribute to pipeline product innovation on time.

• Create and maintain database for internal assets for product innovation and showcasing business capabilities

• Collating feedback from innovation initiatives to measure success in demand creation

• Support with generation of mood boards that represent the key trends across all relevant categories
