  • Hours: Continental Green Early Shift (05:45am to 18:00pm) working on a rotation of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on and 3 days off.

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Technical Setter, reporting to the Engineering Team Leader. This crucial role involves pre-setting and setting mobile and tube filling equipment, ensuring the production of healthcare, toiletry, and pharmaceutical products. The Technical Setter is responsible for producing 50 saleable units to product specifications before full production, maintaining quality standards, and recording relevant data accurately.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Professional Service: Provide high-quality service to Production after adequate training on specific equipment.
  • Equipment Setup: Set production lines according to product standards and specifications.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all equipment operations are performed to a professional, high-quality standard.
  • Production Planning: Liaise closely with Production Management to prioritize production planning and equipment availability.
  • Communication: Inform and update Production Management about line availability and major issues following the agreed Elevation Tree process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Warehouse and Manufacturing departments.
  • Maintenance and Reporting: Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, identify minor faults for immediate corrective action, and report major issues to the Engineering Team Leader.
  • Documentation: Complete and maintain all relevant documentation accurately.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure product quality meets standards, specifications, and customer expectations.
  • Compliance: Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), and Standard Working Instructions (SWI’s) at all times.
  • GMP Standards: Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in production and other accountable areas.
  • Process Improvement: Use Yellow Belt techniques to investigate and implement process improvements, identify poor-performing products, and participate in process improvement teams when requested.
  • Flexibility: Be available for weekend and out-of-hours work if required by the business.
